Mrs. Altenbaumer was born September 6, 1928 in Ashdown, AR to Archie E. & Martha Jane Merrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Altenbaumer; and two daughters, Brenda DeFore & Gayle Craig.
Survivors include three sons, David Altenbaumer of Ashdown, AR, Randy Altenbaumer of Texarkana, AR, and Marty Altenbaumer of Ashdown, AR; one brother, Archie Merrell of Ashdown, AR; six grandchildren; and two great-gradchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday October 14, 2013 at 10:00 am at Oakhill Cemetery in Ashdown, AR.
Arrangements are under the direction of Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown, AR.
