Clara B. Wilhoit, 89, died Thursday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She attended Mount Olive “Red Hill” United Methodist Church, as long as her health permitted.

Mrs. Wilhoit was the widow of Kerr Wilhoit and a daughter of the late Mike and Julia Looney.

Survivors include two sisters: Maggie Higgins and Roxie Wexler, both of Greeneville; one brother: William Looney of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Ezra Looney, Elmer Looney, Claude Looney, and Harold Looney; and four sisters: Ota Hensley, Addie Humphreys, Ruby LaFollette, and Cora Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral will follow visitation at 8 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Julian Walton will officiate.

Interment will be held at 10 o’clock Saturday morning in Mount Olive “Red Hill” Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
