Claude and his twin brother Jean Baptiste Prudhomme were born on December 30, 1793 in Sandwich (now Windsor) Ontario. On July 20, 1818 Claude married Theresa Levry dit Martin. They had ten children: Margaret, Antoine, Euphrosine, Francis Xavier, Pierre, Isabelle (Elizabeth) Victoria, Adeline, Sarah and Sabrina. Those parish members who were buried in the old cemetery next to St. Joseph Church, Erie were moved to this St. Joseph Cemetery, which has numerous unmarked graves.
