Cory Max Wilson, 84, of Interlachen, died Sunday, October 3, 1999, at the Oak Terrace Specialty Center in Green Cove Springs following a long illness.

He was born in Waycross, Ga., and had lived in Interlachen for the past nineteen years coming from Southern California. He was a civilian witness to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for the city of Los Angeles, California for twenty-eight years retiring in 1980 as a chief investigator in the Building Department. He was a member of Interlachen Church of Christ which he helped to construct. He enjoyed building things. He also enjoyed doing the lawn care at his home and church.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Wilson and Nancy Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margery Wilson of Interlachen; daughter, Jill Lockhart of Buena Park, Calif.; sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Joyce Wilson of Plantation, Mark Wilson of Buena Park, Calif., Dale Wilson of Interlachen, and Bradley and Anita Wilson, also of interlachen; sisters, Jessie Amendola of DeLand, Doris Houchen of Colorado, Louise Gregson of Phoenix, Ariz., Eunice Schlenker of Eden, Utah, and Annie Gilner of Hawthorne; brothers, Francis Wilson of Clearwater and Willis Wilson of Jacksonville; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at the Interlachen Church of Christ with Brother Charles Wilson and Brother L. J. McMath officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery with military honors given by the American Legion Post No. 293 of Interlachen.
