Robert A. Ganter, 49 Morningside Ave, Cleona, died Friday afternoon at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 51. He was a supervisor in the preparation department of the Lebanon Valley Offset Co. He was an Army veteran of the Koran War. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, and formerly served as president of the church council. He was also a member of church choir, taught Sunday school class and served as chairman of the construction committee. He was a past president of the Cleona Lions Club and was past president of the Susquehanna Lithograph Club, where he received the outstanding member of the year award for 1968. He was a professional drummer, having played with numerous bands in the area from age 13 until 1952. He later taught drum and percussion. He was active in Scouting. He is survived by his wife, Janet E. Hartman Ganter; two sons, Allan F. and Frederick D.; one daughter, Roberta, wife of Edward Hoffer, Annville; and his mother, Mary Ganter, Lebanon. He was in death by his father, Frederick D. Ganter.
