NINETY SIX SC - Janice Faith Ouzts Wells, 78, widow of Thomas Nicholas (Nickey) Wells, passed away August 26, 2019 at Saluda Nursing and Rehabilitation Center [Saluda]. Born in Saluda County SC on October 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Theodore and Nellie Mae O. Ouzts. Janice was the youngest of ten children who was reared in Kirksey and then became a long-time resident of Ninety-Six. Mrs. Wells was a devoted wife to her husband for 40 years as well as a loving mother and grandmother with a focus on faith, family and friendships. A 1958 graduate of Greenwood High School and the Greenwood College of Commerce, Janice retired from Warner-Lambert, was a longtime volunteer of Self Regional Medical Center and was a member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle. Surviving are her sons, Timothy R. (Tim) Wells and his wife Sissy of Waterloo and Eric Bruce Wells of Ninety Six; a grandson, Justin Wells of Ninety Six as well as brothers, F. Wayne Ouzts of Greenwood and Phillip A. Ouzts of Winter Park FL. Mrs. Wells was predeceased by her husband and her sisters, Lois O. Hawkins, Mary O. Corley, Dorothy O. Bryant and Naomi O.
