Evelyn, age 91, passed away at her daughter's home in Salt Lake. She was the daughter of Henry Newell and Louisa Elizabeth (Wilcox) Cowles. She married Spencer William Carter on September 25, 1934. She married William Homer George on November 8, 1979, in the Salt Lake Temple.
She is survived by her children, LaNia Skola and William Carter, her step-children, Marilyn Gardiner, Carolyn Wood, Sue Cook, Bryan George, and Richard George, 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, her son, Conrad Carter, and her granddaughters, Corrine Garrett and Sherrie Bolinder.
Services were held at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary. Interment was in Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
