Mary Irwin, dau. of John and Margaret Irwin, married Abel Findley. John Irwin is buried near Scottsdale [sic], Pa., Westmoreland County, south edge. Margaret Irwin is buried in Round Hill Cemetery, near Elizabeth, Allegheny Co., Pa.
DAR Magazine, Vol. 64, p. 59, 1930, #13378. John Irwin came to U. S. from Ireland about 1760. He and his father settled in Eastern Pennsylvania later removing to Westmoreland Co., Pa. John married Margaret Fulton in Greenway, Pa., and died in Westmoreland County. His wife afterwards removed to the "Forks of the Youghiney" not far from McKeesport, Pa. The great grandmother is buried at Round Hill Cemetery. Revolutionary War. (M.E.V.P)

John Irwin married Margaret Guthry Fulton II, dau. of Abraham and Margaret Guthry Fulton of Articlave, Londonderry County, Pa., John died 1795, widow moved to farm near Elizabeth, Allegheny Co., Pa.
