According to her Niece, Barbara Kendig (nee Handwork) Thompson, Sarah {aka: Sara} was a music teacher and an ice skater. She was a delightful lady and full of fun! She lived with her Sister, Clara Kendig (nee Handwork) Taylor, beginning in 1938, after her brother-in-law, Clare M Taylor, passed away.

Sarah never married, although she had a suitor who had asked for her hand. She had injured her ankle skating and possibly was too self-conscious about it, although family says he never minded that.

She was buried 4 Oct 1950 next to her wonderful Parents, Philip DeHaven Handwork I and Caroline {Taggart} KENDIG Handwork.

Sara was our (Janet & Judy Handwork's) Paternal Great Grand Aunt.
