Mary Helen Miller, age 79, of LaPorte, Indiana and formerly of Rensselaer, passed away Oct 5, 2013 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village in DeMotte, Ind. Mary was born August 30, 1914, in Rensselaer, the daughter of the late Robert F. May and Helen M. (Allie) May. She had lived in LaPorte since 1970. Mary graduated with the Class of 1952 from Rensselaer Hich School. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington and in 1954 graduated from Indiana Business College. Mary was a homemaker. Mary was a member of the First Christian Church of Rensselaer and the Rensselaer Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are her two sons,
Brett Allen (Maureen) Miller, Walkerton, Ind. and Dr. Jeffrey Scott (Lucia) Miller, LaPorte, Ind., four grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle, Chase and Max Miller and a special friend, Debra J. Lufa, LaPorte. Family services were held at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, Ind. on October 10, 2013 with Rev. Elizabeth Hartann officiating.
