Services Were Sunday For Charles W. Brown, Who Died At His Home Here
Charles W. Brown, 67, of Edina, formerly engaged in construction work and farming, died at 5:15 o'clock Thursday evening, Nov. 23, 1972, at his home in the northeast part of town. He had been in ill health the last several months. Prior to moving into Edina he lived south of town and had been a resident of Knox County the last 12 years.
Funeral services were at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina with the Rev. David C. Goodwin of here officiating. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery. Masonic Rites were conducted at 8 o'clock Saturday night at the chapel by Kirksville Lodge No. 105 A.F. & A.M., of which he was a member.
He is survived by his wife, his father, Lawson T. Brown, and a sister, Clara Brown, both of Kansas City, Kansas, two brothers, Boyd H. Brown and Lewis L. Brown of Kirksville, and a nephew, William W. Brown, also of Kansas City, Kansas.
Mr. Brown was born Dec. 13, 1904, at Lancaster, a son of Lawson T. and Etta o. Lamb Brown. He was married Sept. 24, 1929, to Jennie Josephine Rodenhofer at Union and they lived at Kirksville and seven years in California prior to coming to Edina. Mr. Brown was also a member of Moila Temple at St. Joseph and the El Kadir Shrine Club of Kirksville.
His mother preceded him in death.
