Roger was born in Appleton, Wisconsin to Orville and Amelia Tornow on January 7, 1929. He went to school in Appleton, Wisconsin. He married Kay Collipp on June 14, 1952 in Appleton, Wisconsin. He worked as a Marketing Manager for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company for 36 ½ years. He was a veteran of The Occupation of Germany and Korean War and served in the Army and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars. He was involved in The Boy Scouts of America and VFW Post 4407. He received BSA's Silver Beaver.
Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Funk.
Roger is survived by his wife Kay; sons: Scot (Sherry), Blaine (Debra) and Todd (Julie); grandchildren: Garret, Taylor, Nicholas, Jennifer, Christy, Kelly, Mason, Steven and Eric; great-grandchild, Ariana.
