Margaret Oldaker Daugherty, 78, of Lincolnton, North Carolina died Saturday, March 22, 2003, following a long illness. She was born June 13, 1924, in Putnam County, WV to Thomas Richardson Oldaker and Ruby Marie Martin. Margaret graduated from Buffalo High School in Buffalo, WV in 1942. She served in the Navy and Army Air Corp during World War II. She married William W. Daugherty in April of 1946 in Buffalo, WV. She is survived by two sisters, Regina Graley and Phyllis Oldaker, both of Charleston, WV. Daughters, Sharon Isenhour and Karen Galant, both of Gastonia, North Carolina. Sons, John P. Daugherty, William O. Daugherty and Timothy L. Daugherty, all of Lincolnton, NC.; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Margaret began a career in nursing in 1959 and retired in 1986. Margaret and Bill owned and operated a dairy farm in Putnam County, WV from 1946 until 1959.
