RIVER OF TIME
Where are the roses that once bloomed so bright?
Where are the arms that once held me so tight?
Where is the love that once was mine?
Where is the heart that once was light?
All gone with the turn of a page,
It is only a step from youth to old age,
It is only an instant from laughter to tears,
It is only a minute from months to years,
Roses bloom for awhile and than fade away,
Love flames like a candle, but seldom lasts,
Friends come and go as night turns to day.
Time can't be saved or bought or sold,
Each precious moment is yours to hold,
For it will soon fade from your mind,
And be lost forever on the RIVER OF TIME.

September 1939, Louise's mother, Laura told, "Louise you're staying home from school today", your sister has a big surprise for you, and she's outside waiting for you.
They walked out to the highway to catch a bus into New Westminster. Louise was so excited, she kept asking Lillian, where are we going, her sister said can't tell you it's a surprise.

MEMORY LANE
Today I wandered down to memory lane
And lived those years again,
The happy years of childhood play.
The joy of a wedding day,
The years of love and happiness
The joy of children nestled to my breast.
There were sorrow and tears
Down through the years
But there was always a smile and a hand to hold
And someone to say I love you.
Now the children have grown and gone their way
While I sit alone at the end of the day.
Yes, memory lane is a nice place to go
When days grow short and night winds blow.
