With family at her side, at the Roseau Area Hospital on August 13, 2007, Rose Goodman passed away peacefully. Her faith in her Savior carried her through the past three weeks of her life blessing her with much courage and peace in the face of a very sudden and aggressive cancer.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, Stanley, and son, Glen, and wife, Marlene, granddaughters Mindy and Brooke; son, Grant and wife Pamela and grandchildren Justin and Cidney; daughter, Jennifer and husband Todd and grandchildren Kierra, Brynn and Micah.

Rose was predeceased by her parents and sister, Annie.

She was born in Menisino, Manitoba, to Mary and Louis Horvath. God blessed her and Stanley with 45 years of marriage, an anniversary they were thankful to celebrate this past Saturday.

Rose was known for her dedication as a wife and mother. She was a gracious hostess and prepared many delicious meals, sometimes pre-planning weeks in advance. Many enjoyed her delicious bread, venison cutlets, blueberry pies, and so many more wonderful meals.

She loved nature, especially walking, skiing, snow shoeing and picking blueberries. "Rosie's Cabin" which Stan built in the fall of 2005 was where she displayed her collection of antiques and was a favorite place to show guests.

Rose will be lovingly remembered by many friends from the community and area. Thank you, dear friends, for supporting our family with your many thoughts, prayers and meals.

Our special thanks to Dr. Jain and the nurses at the Roseau Hospital who were so helpful in caring for her and the family in the past weeks. Dr. Harris in Winnipeg was also very helpful with much wisdom and efficiency.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the International Christian Fellowship Church in Piney, Manitoba at 2:00 P.M. with interment at the Piney Cemetery.
