Formerly of Pulaski County, the Todds moved to Mercer from Eminence about two years ago.

Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Elva Combest Todd; a son, M/Sgt. James R. Todd, in the Marines stationed in Japan; a daughter, Mrs. Juanita McCarthy, Lexington; a brother, Sam Todd, Somerset; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer Tyler, Nancy, Mrs. Oscar Hislope, Clio, Michigan, Mrs. T.V. Howard, Sale Creek, Tennessee, and Mrs. Howard Prather, Waynesburg; and three grandchildren*.

The body is at the Glave Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services for W. Goebel Todd, 56, Mercer County farmer, who died Friday, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the White Oak Baptist Church in Pulaski County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be removed Tuesday from the Glave Sims Funeral Home here to the Pulaski Funeral Home at Somerset.

W. Gobel Todd, 56, formerly of this county and brother of Sam Todd of Somerset, died last Friday at his home near Harrodsburg. He had been in ill health and unable to work for several months.

Mr. Todd was a native of Pulaski County and moved to Mercer County from Eminence about two years ago.

Mr. Todd is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elva Combest Todd; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita McCarty, Lexington; one son, M. Sgt. James R. Todd, United States Marine Corps, stationed in Japan; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer Tyler, Nancy, Mrs. Oscar Hislope, Clio, Michigan, Mrs. T.V. Howard, Sale Creek, Tennessee, and Mrs. Howard Prather, Waynesburg; and one brother, Sam Todd, Somerset.

Funeral services were held this afternoon in the White Oak Baptist Church, the Rev. L.D. Fisher and the Rev. Walter Jones officiating. Burial was in the White Oak cemetery.
