Clyde S. West, 52, RR 2, died Thursday in his residence after a brief illness. Born in Stearns, Ky., he came to Muncie in the early 1950s and worked for 23 years with Gaston Lumber Co. Earlier Mr. West worked nine years for Indiana Bridge Co. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Carol; a daughter, Kim; a son, Johnny West; his mother, Temple West; five brothers, Earl, Roy, Clinton, Clifford and Denny West; four sisters, Myrtle Waters, Hettie Siler, Louella Shelly, and Thelma McWilliams; a grandson, Sean West; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with burial in Sunderland Cemetery. Family will receive callers at the mortuary 4 to 7 p.m. today.
