Georgina MacKay/McKay is the daughter of Neil MacKay and Janet Mathison and was born in Frantelmore, Reay, Caithness, Scotland.
She married her husband, Thomas Miller in Nigg, Kincardine, Scotland in 1849 and they had six sons, three that lived to adulthood. Son Thomas immigrated to the U.S. in 1884. Son Robert immigrated to England, than immigrated to the U.S. with his wife & Children who were born in England. Both bothers lived in Cleveland and are buried there. Son James remained in Aberdeen, raised his family & was buried there.

Georgina's husband Thomas Miller passed about four years before she did. The informant on her death certificate was her son, James Miller, who correctly listed Georgina's father as Neil MacKay, but accidently listed his Georgina's name instead of Georgina's mother Janet Matheson's name.

Although Georgina's death record lists her place of death at the Aberdeen City Poorhouse, the burial record shows that she lived with her son James' family at 21 Guestrow, which was historically known as the "Ghost Row" area, located near Flour Road and Skene House.

When infirmity required hospitalization, the City Poorhouse where low income citizens of Aberdeen went for medical treatment.

Georgina rests with her husband and two of her sons in Lair 20, Section E. Two other sons and extended family members final resting place is at this cemetery too.
