The funeral for Charles Emerson, 73, 1107 13th St. N., Moorhead, will be at 11 Monday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Moorhead, with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery, Moorhead. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 Sunday, with a prayer service at 7, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, He died Thursday.
Mr. Emerson was born June 30, 1915, in Fargo, where he grew up and attended school. On Aug. 17, 1935, he married Dolores Kelly in Fargo. They moved to Moorhead in 1943. He worked for the Fargo Seed Co. and in 1961 purchased a service station in Moorhead, which he operated until retiring in 1979.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Floyd and Lloyd, both Moorhead; and Charles Jr., Minneapolis; three brothers, Ernest, Fargo; Donald, Portland, Ore.; and Ralph, Mesa, Ariz.; four sisters, Louise Ray and Jeannette (Mrs. John) Polum, both Seattle; Helen Carlson, Chandler, Ariz.; and Dorothy (Mrs. Clarence) Williams, Las Vegas, Nev.; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
