Mayo — Myrna "Louise" Rutledge Clark
Feb. 17, 1930 - May 28, 2013
Myrna "Louise" Rutledge Clark went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Fla. She joins her beloved husband, Edward Clark, who went before her on March 25, 2013. She was the third child and only daughter of Ruth Lazora Williams and Leon Curtis Rutledge, Sr. born in Kathleen , Fla. Feb. 17, 1930. Her eldest brother Leon Curtis Rutledge, Jr. was killed in action in WWII in St. Lowe, France at 19 years of age. Her youngest brother, James Sullivan Rutledge was a Vietnam Veteran who a few years past went to be with the Lord due to illnesses caused by exposure to Agent Orange. Her middle brother Wayne Rutledge still lives in Georgia. She gave her heart to the Lord at age 14 and later became pianist and organist to various churches through the years. She gave piano lessons, but could also play the guitar, banjo , accordion and harmonica. She expects to see in Heaven her four children: Arlene Powell, Live Oak, Fla., James (Barbara) Clark, Germany, John (Sharon) Powell, Burlington, NC, Roger (Sylvia) Clark, Vero Beach, Fla., seventeen grandchildren , 45 great-grandchildren and twenty-one great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Andrew Edward Clark. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31 at Live Oak Church of God with Rev. Fred Watson and Rev. Gregory Richey officiating. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery.
