Julia A. Gibson age 85 of Hillsboro died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at her home. She was born November 7, 1927 in McDowell, West Virginia the daughter of the late Clifford and Clydie Bell Tedder. Mrs. Gibson had worked as a bank cashier in Salem, Virginia and was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Salem, Virginia. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Willis Salyer of Hillsboro, several nieces and nephews and a cousin, Gene E. Wolfe of Hillsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse P. Gibson on February 22, 2009 and one sister, Joyce Smith. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 7th at the Sherwood Burial Park in Salem, Virginia. There will be no public visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
