HILTON - Henrietta M. Atkins Blackmer Decker, 101, of 88 Bailey Road, formerly of Frewsburg and Jamestown, died Thursday (Dec. 12, 2002) in the home of her daughter. A resident of Hilton since 1996, she was born July 12, 1901, in Brooks Mills, Corydon, Pa., the daughter of Linn and Blanche Geer Atkins. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the former Kling's Furniture in Frewsburg. Earlier she worked for New Process in Warren. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its missionary society, the Maple Grove Cemetery Society and the Carroll Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the former Evangelical United Brethren Church. She loved flowers, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Hutchison, with whom she made her home; eight grandchildren: Gregory Hutchison of Orlando, Fla., Denise Hutchison of Rochester, Lisa Calhoun of McVeytown, Pa., Bruce Hutchison of Ferndale, Md., Michael Hutchison of Pensacola, Fla., Rebecca Lunde of Ivybridge, England, Joyce Hull of Jamestown, Ohio, and Stephen Blackmer of Manassas, Va.; three stepchildren: Randall Jones of Bemus Point, Sheryl Linton of Florida, N.Y., and Jonathan Jones of Mansfield, Ohio; 15 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy M. Blackmer, in 1959 ; her second husband, Delbert Decker, in 1966; a son, Clyde Blackmer; two brothers: Pvt. Sterl and Lyn Atkins Jr.; and four sisters: Isabella Eikenburg, Blanche Brownell, Effie Blair and Gladys Blackmer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, in Trinity United Methodist Church, Frewsburg. The Rev. Edward Davis, retired pastor, and the Rev. Michael Stone, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
