Nikki Davis, 16, of 101 Mill St., died Thursday at her home. She had been ill with Batten disease.
Born June 18, 1991, in Potsdam, daughter of Paul and Deanna, she attended Hammond schools and was a member of this year's junior class. She also attended the Perkins School for the Blind, Watertown, Mass., for two years and then attended Trade Winds School in Utica for three years.
She enjoyed singing, dancing, swimming and Barbie dolls and had a love for horses.
Surviving besides her parents, of Hammond, are a sister, Leeah, Hammond; two brothers, Reece and Chris, both of Hammond; her maternal grandmother, Joan, Ogdensburg; her maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Leo and Cathy, Ogdensburg; her paternal grandparents, George and Betty, Angleton, Texas, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley or Batten Disease Support and Research Association, 166 Humphries Drive, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
