She passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Angleton Danbury Medical Center in Angleton, TX.



Jan worked for the Texas Workforce Commission for over 31 years where she helped many people pursue their goals, dreams and find permanent places of employment. After her retirement, she volunteered her services with the Southern Brazoria Democratic party. Jan was a vivacious and fun loving person. She loved shopping, traveling, going to music festivals and spending time with her grand kids. Her elegance, style and grace were captivating and her warm hearted smile would brighten up your day. A precious one is gone and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.



Jan was preceded in death by her parents, LaSalle and Leva Bryant; husband, Lewis "Tack" Franklin; step sister, Eddie Mitchell and uncle, Floyd Bryant.
