STEWARTVILLE -- The funeral for Floyd C. Bowie will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Casey Higgins officiating. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery.
Mr. Bowie, 76, of Dexter, died Friday (Nov. 22, 1996) of cancer at his home.

He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Carroll, Iowa. He attended area schools and worked on the family farm. On Aug. 25, 1941, in Maryville, Mo., he married Lois Thede. The couple farmed in the Carroll area until 1955 when they moved to Dexter and farmed there. She died Oct. 4, 1961. On Nov. 18, 1962, he married Myrna Walker in St. Paul. The couple farmed in Dexter until 1978. Mr. Bowie also worked at McNeilius Steel, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Bowie is co-owner of Bowie & Mosier, CPAs, in Kasson.

Mr. Bowie is survived by his wife; a son, Roger of Centralia, Ill.; three daughters, Inez (Mrs. James) Bock of LaFayette, Colo., Marvalee (Mrs. Donald) Hoffman of Redlands, Calif., and Dusty (Mrs. Vernon) DeHerrera of South Bend, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the church an hour prior to the service. Griffin Funeral Home in Stewartville is in charge of arrangements.
