When Thomas Franklin Hash was born on May 26, 1862, in Bloomington, Indiana, his father, James, was 43 and his mother, Mary Ratliff Hash, was 38. He married Evaline Nancy Cook on November 29, 1891, in Laclede, Missouri. He died on December 4, 1943, in Locust, Pottsboro, Grayson, Texas, at the age of 81, and was buried there in Locust cemetery.
