When Thomas Franklin Hash was born on May 26, 1862, in Bloomington, Indiana, his father, James, was 43 and his mother, Mary Ratliff Hash, was 38. He married Evaline Nancy Cook on November 29, 1891, in Laclede, Missouri. He died on December 4, 1943, in Locust, Pottsboro, Grayson, Texas, at the age of 81, and was buried there in Locust cemetery. Marker is a stone.

Uncle Tom Hash WAS A MEMBER OF THE LOCUST CHURCH OF CHRIST WHICH THEN MOVED THEIR BUILDING IN HIS LIFETIME TO THE WILLOW SPRINGS AREA A FEW MILES AWAY ON LAND DONATED BY THE DRIGGERS FAMILY, ACROSS THE ROAD FROM THE Conner, Dutton and CLOUNTZ PLACE. HENRY AND TOM HASH WERE Sarah Jane Myers BROTHERS. THEY ALL MOVED TO TEXAS FROM MO. BEFORE 1900, Sarah and William H. Myers came to Tx about 1884. They came to Sherman for only a year and then moved to Ellis County TX. After William H. Myers died in 1897 from pneumonia, brought on by complications from having the measles and working too hard when sick, she moved NW of Pottsboro TX with her brothers and resided there until her death in 1944.
TOM HASH DIED ABOUT A MONTH BEFORE his sister SARAH JANE DID, Saturday Dec 4, 1943 at his home after a three month illness. HE IS BURIED AT LOCUST CEMETERY west of POTTSBORO. HIS WIFE Evaline (Avaline) IS BURIED NEXT TO HIM. THERE IS NO MARKER, ONLY A ROCK. "Uncle Tom" lived on "Hash Hill" just north of Cook's Corner where James Jackson and Joseph Cook lived, where Cook's Corner Road is now, nw of Pottsboro TX.
