Ethel Florence Fast, daughter of Luther and Ida Utley Fast, was born February 6, 1895 near Villisca and passed away Sunday, October 20, 1985, at the Villisca Good Samaritan Center.
She was married to Arthur T. Bergren on January 1, 1916 at Creston. To this union four children were born; Maxine, Lois, Duane, and Beverly. She had made her home in the Villisca area and was active in the Grant Federated Garden Club, Morton Mills Ladies Aid, as well as being a member of the Morton Mills Union Church.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Wayne (Maxine) Campbell, Lois Bryson, Duane Bergren, and his wife Madeline and Mrs. Darwin (Beverly) Buck; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur on May 19, 1968; one brother, Floyd Fast; an infant sister; one granddaughter, Sandra Moritz; and her son-in-law, Fred Bryson.
Funeral services were held from the United Methodist Church in Villisca at 2:00 p.m., October 22, 1985, with Rev. Steven Wainwright officiating. Musicians are Frances Gray and Betty Gourley, Florence Peterman and Jennette Taylor were at the register. Ushers were Kenneth Gridley and Darwin Linn. Pall bearers were Larry Fasho, Stan Peterman, Herb Bashaw, Church Fast, Orville Fast, Lynn Taylor, Stan Peterson, and Homer Focht.
Burial was in Motion Mills Cemetery, Morton Mills.
