Luther Fast was born July 30, 1865 in Knoxville, Iowa to Phillip Fast and Nancy McBride. He was married to Ida Mae Utley on June 19, 1889. Following his marriage he moved to Morton Mills vicinity and lived there until his death. He had lived in the same farm home for 42 years.
He is survived by two children, Mrs. Arthur Bergren and Floyd Fast of Morton Mills; a sister, Mrs. Laura Davis of California; a brother Frank Fast of South Dakota, and eleven grandchildren.
