Nolan Clyde Lowe, 94, of Piedmont Crossing, Thomasville, formerly of Archdale, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hospice Home of Randolph County.
Mr. Lowe was born September 28, 1919 to the late Clyde Lowe and Myrtle Anderson Lowe. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of Archdale United Methodist Church, where he served as Chairman of Trustees and a member of the Administrative Board. He was also a member of the Archdale Lions Club. Mr. Lowe served as Vice President of Laughlin Hosiery for a number of years, and on the Board of Directors of First Union of Randleman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Laughlin.
Mr. Lowe is survived by son, Nolan Leslie Lowe and wife Carol Lowe of Asheboro; sister, Marion Bundy of Trinity; grandchildren, Brian Lowe and wife Michelle, and Robert Lowe and wife Leigh Ann, all of Asheboro; and great-grandchildren, Jake Lowe and Karleigh Lowe.
A celebration of Mr. Lowe's life will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11 am at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with Reverend Harold Shives and Reverend Stewart Noell officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6 – 8 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.
