Mary Jane Arnold, 86, passed away at her home on Parkway in East Liverpool at 9:28 a.m. Saturday morning, September 28, 2013.

She was born in Midland, PA on November 27, 1926, a daughter of the late George and Grace Pilgrim Stoffel.

A 1945 graduate of Midland High School, Mary Jane furthered her education at the Ohio Valley Business College. For most of her working life, she had been a supervisor at Ohio Bell Telephone Company until her retirement.

Mary Jane was a member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and loved traveling, golfing and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Arnold, who passed away on August 11, 1988.

Surviving Mary Jane are two nephews and a niece: George Stoffel and his wife, Helen, of Lakewood, OH; Marcy Groll and her husband, Frank, of Pittsburgh, PA; and Richard Stoffel of New Castle, PA. There are several great nieces and nephews as well.

In addition to her husband, Mary Jane was preceded in death by three brothers, George Stoffel, William Stoffel and James Stoffel.

Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
