He is survived by his wife, Lea of 36 years; his children, Larry (Jamie), Stacey, Michelle (Donovan) and Randy, and six grandchildren: Brandon, Dillon, Justin, Matthew, Mariah and Zachary; his mother, Darlene; sisters, Carol and Tinker, and brother, Bill.
Raised in the metal recycling business, Al and his father were partners at Steel Mill Supply of Chico. In the 80's, Al drove tanker for Shell Oil while recycling on his days off. From 1989-2004 he managed Steel Mill Supply of Napa with owner, Peter Maple until he was forced to retire with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Those who knew Al understood that he was a dedicated family man. He treasured his wife, children and grandchildren. Al enjoyed sharing family vacations, especially in Mexico. Most of his free time was spent supporting his grandchildren, whether it was racing, sports, or fishing.
Services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Community Presbyterian Church, 2800 Georgia Street, Vallejo, CA at 2:00 p.m.
