Rita died at the age of 83.
She was one of twelve children of the late Ralph John Karge and Geraldine Lorena Crawford.
She graduated from Cherry Township High School and a member of the class of 1949. After high school she worked for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Forest and Waters in Harrisburg, PA for over ten years.
She returned home and married Joseph Laverne Gilbert of Forksville on May 13, 1961. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage until his death July 14,2005.
