GRACE - Connie Mary Fowler Hansen, 81, of Grace, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2004, at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs. She was born October 29, 1922, at Lago, Idaho, the daughter of John Calvin and Sine Swensen Fowler. She was raised and educated in the Lago and Grace areas. She lived the last seven months at the Caribou Memorial Living Center.

Connie married Adolph Hans Hansen August 22, 1939, at Soda Springs, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on February 5, 1941. Mr. Hansen passed away March 15, 2004. She was a member of the Grace LDS First Ward, and had served as a Primary teacher, Sunday school teacher and a Relief Society teacher. She also served as a supervisor over 12 districts in the Relief Society.

Her hobbies included genealogy, crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her husband and family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

Connie is survived by one son and two daughters, Ronald A. and Laura Hansen, Judy and Alden Hansen, all of Grace, Idaho, and Vicky Lynn Benson of Pocatello, Idaho; also surviving are seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Anna Gunnell, Soda Springs, Idaho. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Hansen, four brothers, Max, Dale, Russell and Leo Fowler, and three sisters, Blanche Gamble, Lola Ranson and Dot Fowler.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 22, at noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center, with Bishop George Kimball officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday evening, July 21, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, and on Thursday at the Grace LDS Stake Center from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
