John Eggert Liesemer, an old timer of the Didsbury district, died in a Calgary hospital Friday evening, August 8th, and funeral services were held in Calgary on Monday. Mr. Liesemer was 78 years of age and was born in Mildmay, Bruce County, Ontario, and moved to Didsbury 45 years ago, where he farmed until 1927, and then moved to town to reside. About two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Liesemer sold their home in Didsbury and moved to Calgary. He leaves his widow, Melinda; two sons, A. J. E., Liesemer, M.L.A., Calgary; and G. E. G. Liesemer, Calgary; one sister, Mrs. H. M. Reiber, Didsbury; three brothers, Conrad of Calgary and Edward and Peter, both of Didsbury; and one granddaughter.
