Chelsea graduated 6th in her class from Virginia High School in 2004 as an Honor Student and an International Baccalaureate Candidate with an Advanced Studies diploma. She was named Wittiest Girl as a Senior Superlative by her classmates.

In high school Chelsea was very athletic and participated in both basketball (where she was a Point Guard) and soccer. Among her many awards, in 2002 her soccer team won the District Championship and Chelsea was voted Most Improved Player of the Year. She was also named Co-MVP of the 2004 soccer team. In addition, she had a great interest in film and drama studies. As a member of the high school drama team, she played Maria in West Side Story and also acted in a production of Murder She Wrote. Chelsea won an Honorable Mention at the 2003 Barter Theatre Young Playwrights Festival.

In 2008, she graduated from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville with an American Government BA in Political Science. She was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.

Chelsea was fluent in Castilian Spanish and was intensely interested in the immersive experience of learning languages. Following college graduation, Chelsea traveled to Argentina where she taught English in 2010 and 2011 to students of all ages as an English Professor at both the Holistic English Institute and the Ben & Bill Enseñanza de Ingles in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba, Argentina and had recently been studying Hebrew.

Chelsea began working as an assistant case manager at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in October 2011. She was passionate and dedicated in her work and had great adoration for her coworkers. She was on the NCMEC soccer team, The Bulldogs.

Chelsea had a magnetic personality and she had the rare ability to instantly connect with those she came in contact with. She truly touched the lives of everyone she met. She lived and breathed the words of E.E. Cummings quoted under her senior yearbook photo, "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter."

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday September 29, 2013 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with a family friend officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. The committal service and interment will be held at Mt View Cemetery, in the Garden of the Good Sheppard following the service.

Pallbearers will be Josh Wilson, Arick Wilson, Tom Glasgow, Mike Glasgow, Dor Ribak and Chris Fraizer. In lieu in flowers, donations may be made to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children Attn: Development Charles B. Wang International Children's Building 699 Prince Street
