Frances "Fanny" (Callaway) Lamme was a daughter of Flanders and Jemima (Boone) Callaway and a granddaughter of Daniel Boone. She was born on Hickman Creek in Fayette County, Kentucky about 6 miles from Boone Station. The family came to Missouri in 1799 with Daniel Boone.

Frances married William T. Lamme. They lived at Marthasville, Missouri in present Warren County (then Montgomery County) and raised 10 children on their 812 acre farm.

Frances died while visiting her son, Achilles, in Dekalb, Missouri but was brought home to be buried beside her husband in the family cemetery on their farm. Several of their children and grandchildren rest in the little cemetery with them.
