Diana was born April 30, 1942 in Barea, Ohio to James E. and Dorothy Dyche. She worked for Sherwin-Williams Co. in Cleveland, Ohio as an Administrative Assistant. She started her insurance business in 1988; then became a Community Relations Representative for United Blood Services. She loved animals and the outdoors, and was actively involved in establishing the Zoo on Wheels program as President of the Lubbock Zoological Society. She was a past member of the Elks Lodge. Diana was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Joan Lett and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Eric Edwards; daughter, Katy Birkenfeld; and two wonderful granddaughters, Phoenix and Cheyenne Birkenfeld, all of Lubbock; and a brother and his wife, James W. Dyche and Lana Hamilton of Albuquerque, N.M.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at White Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at White Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway in Lubbock. Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.
