Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - December 12, 1997. Obituary: Ned E. Rappleye. Ned E. Rappleye passed away December 11, 1997 from complications of cancer. Ned was the 12th child born to William V. and Mary L. Jolley Rappleye in Tropic, Utah on August 15, 1929. Ned graduated from Spanish Fork High School, spent three years in the Air Force, then attended BYU Vo-Tech mechanic school.

Survived by June Ann Kibble Rappleye of Sandy; daughters, Lisa Rappleye, Michele Rappleye, both of Boise, ID; grandson, Shane Jackson; great-grandson, Mathew, both of Yacolt, WA; sisters, Helen Kofford of American Fork; Alta Mullins of Atwater, CA; and Maud Tufts of San Bernardino, CA. Our thanks to the University of Utah Medical Research Center for the wonderful care and concern and the Crosslands Care Center. And a special thanks to all support and love from family, especially Mike and Elaine Harris, who came everyday to Crosslands Care Center. Ned, you did your last year with courage and dignity. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at 1 p.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 South State Street. The family will visit with friends Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary. The family suggests contributions be given to American Cancer Society. Interment at Lake Hills.
