On August 29, 2013 Aliene P. Ballard, 90, of Asheville surrounded by her family and friends went to be with Jesus and her heavenly family. Mrs. Ballard was a devout Christian and a member of the Church of God family for over 60 years.

She was predeceased by her parents: Belton L. and Bertha O. Penley; husband; James B. Ballard; granddaughter; Kimberly B. Case; brothers; Ellis and Paul; sister; Freida Morris.

Surviving are her two sons; two granddaughters; three great grandson's; one great granddaughter; three great great granddaughters and one great great grandson, also three sisters.

A funeral service for Mrs. Ballard will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd, at the Biltmore Church of God, 1390 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803 with the Rev. Dale Whitson officiating. Interment will follow at Gashes Creek Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Biltmore Church of God.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of "The Oaks at Sweeten Creek" for the professional and loving care given during her stay.
