Another contributor has suggested that Johanna's maiden name was "Lied," and that she was the mother of Walter L. Fenney (dates unknown.)

Washington State Death Records (1907-1960; 1965-2014) do show a Walter L. Fenney (circa 1899-1942,) whose mother was Johanna Lied (Mrs. Knute) Fenney. I found that Mrs. Fenney in U.S. Census enumerations for 1900 (with spouse and children in Saint Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota,) 1920 (with children in Spokane, Spokane, Washington,) 1930 (in boarding house in Spokane City,) and 1940 (living with daughter Edna in Spokane City.) That Mrs. Fenney was born in Norway circa 1872, and came to the U.S. in 1887; she seems to have been the first wife of Knute L. Fenney (1870-1953.) I could find no listing for her in Washington State Death Records.

Given that these two graves (Walter Fenney and Johanna Fenney) have only names, and no birth or death dates, I cannot assume that the contributor's suggestions are correct.
