Marie Sophia Emma was born to Carl William and Augusta (Barchenger) Martin.

She married William Frederick Schultz on October 27, 1914 in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie, Minnesota. She had 9 brothers and sisters.

Left to mourn her death was her husband; sons, Harold Carl Schultz and Walter Albert (Helen Petron) Schultz; and daughter, Holdina Augusta (William) Becker.

She was preceded in death by son, Erhard Gustav (Margaret Michaels) Schultz and, daughter, Loretta (Kenneth) Capkey.

Her funeral was held on July 21, 1975 with burial following the service.

William Schultz and Miss Mary Martin were married Tuesday at the Long Prairie German Lutheran church Tuesday morning, by Rev. Robert Koehler. The groom is a resident of Long Prairie town and the bride lives in Ward. Following the ceremony the happy couple left for the home of the bride's parents where the wedding feast was served. Mr. and Mrs. Schultz will make their home on the groom's farm east of the village. The Leader joins in wishing them joy.
