CHIPPEWA FALLS - William A. Waggoner, 84, of 345 Portland Ave., died early Tuesday morning in his home.

He was born March 14, 1887, in the Town of Eagle Point and was married to Leona Smith of Michigan. The couple resided in West Allis, where he was employed as a construction foreman, until 1945, when they moved to Chippewa Falls. He was employed as a construction foreman here until retirement in 1955.

Mr. Waggoner was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Eau Claire Carpenter's Union, Chippewa Falls Masonic Lodge 176, F. & A.M., of which he was a 50-year member, Chippewa Council No. 25, R. & S.M., Chippewa Chapter No. 46, R.A.M., and Tancred Commandery No. 27, Knights Templar. He was also a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol, at home, Mrs. Robert Roehl, Seven-Mile Road, Racine County; one son, James, Eau Claire; one sister, Miss Bernice Waggoner, Chippewa Falls; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hogseth-Pederson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Smith of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday morning until services. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel.
