OTTENI, PHILIP J., 70, of Venice since 1978 and formerly of Gulfport, died Friday (Sept. 8, 1989) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Erie, Pa., and came here in 1955 from Gardenia, Calif.
Locally, along with his son, Noel, he operated the family business, Apollo Plumbing Co. in Gulfport, since 1968. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Venice and was a former member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 5131, both in Gulfport. He also was a member of Knights of Council 7997, North Port.
Survivors include his wife, Nanette; a son, Noel, Seminole; a sister, Mildred Funk, Erie, Pa.; and three grandchildren. Gulfport Memorial Funeral Home, Gulfport.
