Billy (Red) Lee,78, of Statesville NC, formerly of Iaeger, WVA., passed away at his home on Friday, August 16, 2013 of a lengthy illness. He was born on January 9, 1935 to the late Lark and Ethell Lee.
He was self-employed and an entrepreneur. He was affiliated with the Church of God. He loved and cherished his family.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a grandson, John C. Lee; a brother, Bobby Lee; and three sisters, Dorothy, Janet, and Peggy Lee of Indiana.
Surviving family members include his wife, Alice; two sons, Billy Lee (Anita) and Chris Lee (Jamie); one daughter, Jennifer Long of Statesville; one grandson, Zachary Long; four granddaughters, Vanessa Estes (Timothy), Savannah Lee, Mallorie and Mariah Hoyle; one great granddaughter Lillie Estes; two adopted grand kids, Michelle Potts and A'leecia King. He is further survived by two brothers, Jimmy and James Lee of Welch, WVA; five sisters, Brenda Robinette (Kenny), Faye Lee, Pat Strivailt, Linda Jeffereys, and Jean Kiser.
Graveside funeral rites for Mr. Lee will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 11:00AM Monday, August 19, 2013 with Pastor Connor Lambert officiating.
Active pallbearers will be: Kurt Wilson, Jimmy Rowe, Merle Potts, Kirk Long, Shawn Addair, and Billy Hagerman.
