Betty Kethley Kirkham passed away on September 23, 2013. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Trinity Heights Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Vivian, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Betty was born on May 21, 1939. She grew up in Rodessa, Louisiana and graduated from North Caddo High School in Vivian, Louisiana in 1957. She was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana where she worked for over thirty years loving and caring for many children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruby Kethley, brother, Robert Carroll "Red" Kethley, sister, Ann Kethley Walton, brother, James Donald Kethley, and son-in-law, Peter E. Skamangas, Jr.
Mrs. Kirkham is survived by her daughter, Alison Skamangas; son, Paul Kirkham and his wife, Soon Young Kirkham; daughter, Meg Davis and her husband, John Davis; grandchildren, Abigail Davis, Emilee Davis, Rachel Kirkham and Anthony Kirkham; sister, Bonnie Lovett and her husband, Leon Lovett; and sister, Barbara Fitch and her husband, Joe Fitch.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Drake, Don Drake, Brian Drake, John Rennie II, Mark Gorum, Roger Johnson, Joe Fitch and Leon Lovett.
