Bessie J. Cox, 84, of Knob Noster, Mo., passed away Monday, September 23, 2013. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Noland Road Chapel, Independence. Burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice . She is preceded into death by her parents, a son and her husband, Lincoln W. Cox in 2001. Bessie is survived by seven children, Bill Cox, Lou McKuhn and spouse Dave, Juanita Mowry and spouse Joe, Patty Minor and spouse Leonard, Jeannie Beets and spouse Don, Bonnie McClure and spouse Dave and Dea Dea Craye and spouse John; one brother, William Wallace; 16 grandchildren, numerous great and great- great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
