At the age of seven she came with her parents to the Blocker community, and later moved to this community where she spent the rest of her life. She was united in marriage to James W. Eakins on September 4, 1901. To this union two children were born; Georgia and Harold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and on December 1, 1951 by her husband. She is survived by her daughter Georgia, and husband Alfred Bever, her son Harold and his wife Alta, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lola and her husband Mac Frame, Peggy and her husband Carl Cox; two brothers, Elmer Boyer and wife Ethel, and Floyd Boyer and wife Alice, and nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
