Cecil C, age 84 of Hamilton passed away Friday, Aug 17, 2012 at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. He was born Jan 31, 1928 in Green Hall, Ky, the son of the late Robert & Anne (Bowles)Strong. On Dec 20, 1958 in Hamilton, he married Susan E (White) Strong & she preceded him in death on May 13, 2012. Mr Strong was a veteran of the US Navy during WW II & was a retiree of Champion International Paper Co. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird dogs, & Reds baseball. He is survived by two sons; David (Linda) Strong of Middletown & Keith (Donna) Strong of Hamilton; two daughters, Darla (Steve) Sabo of Fairfield Township & Angela (Keith) Barnett of Trenton; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; & sister in law Cliffie Strong of Ky. Mr Strong is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. He was also preceded in death by five brothers & three sisters. Visitation at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, 1302 Millville Ave on Wed, Aug 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Chaplain Lauren Marsh, officiating. Burial to follow with full military honors in Rose Hill Burial Park. The Webster Funeral Home 3080 Homeward Way at Rt 4, Fairfield is serving the family.
