Fenton Denny Girton, age 70, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:15 P.M. Monday, March 4, 2013, at Garden Villa in Bloomington. He was born May 24, 1942, in Edwardsport, the son of Fred & Edith (Salters) Girton.

He was retired from RCA in Bloomington. He loved animals, including his dogs, Scooby & Buddy.

Survivors include his wife, Christine (Squires) Girton, to whom he was married Dec. 22, 1963, a step-son, Daryl Baker of Bedford, & a sister, Judith Woodruff of Bicknell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Rex Wilgus Girton, three sisters, & two brothers.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thurs., March 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Pastor Gerald DeVore & Rev. Davy Dyer officiating.

Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
