DEATHS OF THE WEEK

Thursday morning last, Mrs. Grace Tawes, widow of the late Edward Tawes, died at the home of her sons, Messrs. Jas. C. and I. H. Tawes, on Twelfth Street [now Somerset Avenue], this city, aged 85 years. Old age was the cause of her death.

"Aunt Grace" was known to every resident of Crisfield, and her motherly manner and cheerful disposition had won her the friendship and good will of all with whom she came in contact. She had been a member of Immanuel M. E. Church for many years.

Mrs. Tawes is survived by seven sons and two daughters. They are as follows: Messrs. Jas. C., Isaac H., Hance E., Geo. W., J. W., Noah R., of Crisfield, Chas. L. Tawes, of Linwood, Pa., and Mrs. Arintha Ballard, of Baltimore and Mrs. Lear A. Mahoney, of Wilmington, Del.

Funeral services will be held at the home of her sons, Messrs. Jas. C and I. H. Tawes, this morning at 10 A>M> Rev. H. G. Budd, pastor of Immanuael M. E. church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Crisfield Cemetery.
